The primary purpose of Educational Measurement: Issues and Practice (EM:IP) is to promote a better understanding of and reasoned debate on assessment, evaluation, testing, and related issues of practical importance to educators and the public. To this end, EM:IP publishes articles that are both timely and have the potential to advance the policies and practices of educational measurement. Note: The term "educational measurement" is used herein in a very broad sense, and can refer to both inferences made and actions taken on the basis of test scores or other modes of assessment.
教育测量:问题与实践(EM:IP)的主要目的是促进对评估、评估、测试以及对教育者和公众具有实际重要性的相关问题有更好的理解和合理的辩论。为此,EM:IP发表的文章既及时又有潜力推进教育测量的政策和实践。 注:“教育测量”一词在这里的使用非常广泛,可以指根据考试成绩或其他评估方式作出的推断和采取的行动。
