Anales del Jardín Botánico de Madrid publishes original and unpublished articles in the taxonomy and systematics of all plant groups and fungi, including related fields like biogeography, bioinformatics, conservation, ecophysiology, phylogeny, phylogeography, functional morphology, nomenclature and plant-animal relations), as well as reviews and summary works. The journal, half-yearly published, provides information about new species to TROPICOS (vascular plants, bryophytes), International Plant Name Index or IndexFungorum databases. Anales del Jardín Botánico de Madrid has a technical editing team that allows reducing to a minimum the time needed to process manuscripts. Usually, articles are published within a period of 7-8 months.
